Since its inception in 2018, the InterContinental Dance & Battle Championships has evolved into one of the largest and most electrifying international dance events in the Southern Hemisphere. Hosted annually in South Africa, this iconic three-day celebration of movement, culture, and creativity brings together elite dance crews and battle dancers from around the world.

Countries previously represented include:
Angola, Botswana, Sweden, Canada, India, Colombia, Namibia, Mozambique, Gabon, Panama,  Lesotho, Seychelles, Madagascar, Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, Cameroon, Zimbabwe—and many more.

2025 Event Schedule

10 October – Workshops & Crew Rehearsals
A day of intensive professional workshops led by globally renowned choreographers, alongside official stage rehearsals for competing crews.

11 October – Crew Championship Finals
Top international dance crews take the stage in a high-energy battle for the prestigious title of InterContinental Crew Champions.

Competition Divisions:

• Crew Division (8–14 members):
  • Junior (Ages 7–12) — 1:30 min
  • Teen (Ages 13–18) — 2:00 min
  • Open (All ages) — 2:30 min

• MiniCrew Division (4–7 members, All ages):
  • 1:30 min

• Legion Division (15–40 members, All ages):
  • 3:00 min

• Schools Division (15–40 members, All ages):
  • 3:00 min

12 October – InterContinental Battle Finals
The fiercest 2v2 and 3v3 battles go down in front of international judges. Categories include:

• Next Gen Divisions:
  • 2v2 All Styles
  • 2v2 Breaking

• Open Divisions:
  • 2v2 Afro Styles
  • 2v2 Krump
  • 3v3 Breaking
  • 3v3 All Styles
